Featuring ‘A Secret History of American River People,’ an art and history project created by digital and new media artist Wes Modes:
Walk the docks of Saint Paul Yacht Club and tour boats, experience an interactive documentary, browse books and zines created by and with river-dwellers, and contribute your river stories to a growing archive. Plus live music from the Marina All Stars.
River City Revue is an annual series of social events on and around the Mississippi River in our national park. Each River City Revue program animates a different theme, presenting eclectic perspectives that focus attention on the river we share. River City Revue events feature live music, art-making activities, short science and history talks, and opportunities to get up close and personal with the Mississippi River.
This summer, the Mississippi River Fund, Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and Works Progress are working with three artist curators to present River City Revue programs that explore how the river has changed over time.
July 1 | People of the River w/ Wes Modes
